Dr. Ian Turner

Biography

Ian Turner is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Yale University, affiliated with the Institution for Social Policy Studies, the Center for the Study of American Politics, and the Leitner Program in International Comparative Political Economy. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics within American politics, focusing on political institutions, political economy, and formal political theory. He specifically examines issues related to public administration, management, and policy, with a primary emphasis on democratic accountability and representation. Turner's recent projects employ applied formal modeling to investigate various aspects of bureaucratic politics and special interest politics. His research has been published or is forthcoming in leading academic journals, including the American Political Science Review and the Journal of Politics. In addition to his research, Professor Turner teaches courses on bureaucratic politics, game theory, and applied formal modeling.
