Biography

Ian Williams is a Professor of Applied Environmental Science at the University of Southampton. He has a distinguished career in environmental science, particularly in waste resource management, carbon management, and air pollution. Ian obtained his degree in Chemistry from the University of Surrey in 1988 and completed his PhD on public attitudes towards air pollution from road traffic at Middlesex University in 1995. His current research focuses on air and water pollution, sustainability, and the impacts of microplastics.
