Biography

Ibrahim Wahab is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gothenburg, currently involved in the CLIMIG research project, which investigates the impact of climate change on mobility in mountainous regions, including the Ethiopian Highlands, Peruvian Andes, and Nepalese Himalayas. His ongoing research examines quantitative aspects of mobility patterns and integrates contributions from country teams, particularly from the Ethiopian team. Wahab has contributed to several academic projects focusing on issues related to agriculture, women's roles in agriculture during transformations, and the socio-economic drivers affecting migration due to climate change. Through his academic work, he aims to address key challenges and emerging conflicts in agricultural and environmental contexts, particularly in developing regions such as Northern Ghana and Small Island Developing States.
