Biography

Ida Sofie Gøtzsche Lange is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, Design Media Technology at Aalborg University in Denmark. She holds a BA in Architecture Urban Design, a MA in Urban Design, and a PhD in Urban Design Mobilities, with her dissertation titled ‘Transit City Living City?’, which examined the port-city relationships through a mixed methods case study of Danish port-cities. She is particularly interested in Port City Relationships, Urban Design, Urban Mobilities, Planning, and Place Theory. Ida is also engaged in various research projects, including the ongoing REHAB project, which looks at the dynamics of seven Danish port cities. Her work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and emphasizes a strong commitment to educational goals within academic settings. Additionally, she is a co-editor of the Routledge Handbook on Urban Mobilities and the author of the edited volume 'Mobilising Place Management'.
