Biography

Idelfonso Tafur Monroy is a Full Professor in the Electro-Optical Communication group at the Institute for Integrated Photonics. Tafur Monroy has co-authored around 500 journal and conference papers and has supervised 20 PhD students. His academic pursuits intertwine with technological advancements, emphasizing the need for ubiquitous connectivity in physical and virtual realities, necessitating faster, scalable connectivity with lower energy costs.
