Biography

Iftikhar Dadi is a prominent figure in the study of modern and contemporary art, focusing on practices from a global and transnational perspective. He has a keen interest in the methodologies of intellectual history, with his research specifically examining topics related to film, media, and popular culture in South Asia. His notable publications include 'Lahore Cinema: Realism Fable' and 'Modernism Art Muslim South Asia', which explore significant themes in the context of modernism in the subcontinent. Dadi's scholarly work is informed by postcolonial theory and globalization studies, tracing the emergence of modern art among selected South Asian artists throughout the twentieth century.
