Ignacio Acevedo is an Associate Professor of community psychology and serves on the faculty of the American Indian and Indigenous Studies, Chicano/Latino Studies, and Latin American Caribbean Studies programs. He completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kentucky in 2008. His research focuses on applied adolescent sociopolitical development and promoting community engagement. As Co-Director of Michigan State University's International Engagement Mexico program, he leads the faculty of the International Engagement with Indigenous Communities summer program.
