Biography

Igor Evstigneev is a Professor of Mathematical Economics at the University of Manchester. He earned his MSc in Mathematics from Moscow State University in 1971, followed by a PhD in Mathematics with a focus on Mathematical Economics in 1974. He further obtained a Dr. Sci. in Mathematics from the University of Vilnius in 1988. Prior to his current position, he served as a Research Scientist at the Economics Mathematics Institute of the Academy of Sciences in Moscow from March 1974 to March 2001. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Bonn and has held his professorship at the University of Manchester since April 2004. His expertise includes Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Finance, Random Dynamical Systems, and Stochastic Optimization Games. He collaborates on various research projects related to Behavioural Evolutionary Finance and has contributed significantly to understanding the applications of Von Neumann-Gale dynamical systems in economics and finance.
