Biography

Igor Samsonov is a Senior Research Associate at the University of New South Wales, with a diverse background in theoretical high energy physics and quantum mechanics. He earned his full professor degree in Physical Mathematical Sciences from Tomsk State University in 2012, following a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the same institution in 2003 and a Master's degree in Physics in 2000. His significant research contributions include over 60 publications and more than 1000 citations with an h-index of 17. Samsonov has presented his work at 30 conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has furthered his academic career through various positions, including Postdoctoral Research Associate roles at reputable institutes in Italy and Australia, and as a lecturer at Tomsk Polytechnic University. He was a Marie Curie Fellow in 2010 and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in 2007. Samsonov is actively involved in research supervision, co-supervising PhD candidates and honours students.
