Biography

Ilir Miteza is a Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. His research primarily focuses on international macroeconomics, particularly concerning exchange rates. He has published extensive research in the areas of monetary economics and international macroeconomic issues, especially relating to developing countries and transition economies. Prior to joining the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2001, he held senior economist positions at the Central Bank of Albania, where he worked in the Monetary Policy Department and the Issue Treasury Department.
