Biography

Iman Borazjani is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, obtained in 2008. His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid-structure interaction (FSI), and high-performance computing, along with applications in biofluids, cardiovascular flows, bio-inspired propulsion, image analysis, and geometry reconstruction. He has also received the Doctoral New Investigator award from the American Chemical Society in 2013 and the Scientific Development award from the American Heart Association the same year. His work demonstrates significant advancements in understanding fluid dynamics in biological systems and engineering applications.
