Dr. Inci Yildirim

Biography

Inci Yildirim, MD, PhD, is a pediatric infectious disease specialist and an epidemiologist whose clinical work and research focus on infections, vaccine-induced immune response, health in children, hematopoietic stem cell organ transplantation, and sickle cell disease. She holds the position of Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and serves as Section Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Medical Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she is the founding Director of the Yale Pediatric Vaccine Trials Program. Dr. Yildirim teaches the course on Vaccines and Vaccine Preventable Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health. She collaborates with various organizations and contributes to important initiatives targeting vaccine development and infection management in pediatric patients, particularly those who are immunocompromised. Dr. Yildirim is actively involved in research, including ongoing trials concerning the immune response to vaccines in children. She is committed to improving health outcomes for children through preventive medicine and vaccine research, aiming for a healthier future generation.
