Biography

Indra K. Reddy serves as the Interim Chief Operating Officer and Vice President at Texas A&M Health. He has been recognized as the Founding Dean Emeritus of the Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy, a position he held from its establishment until 2024 in recognition of his dedicated service. Before joining Texas A&M University in 2004, he was a professor and co-chair in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His extensive experience includes roles as a professor of pharmaceutics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and as the Pfizer Endowed Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Reddy received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Florida in 1989. His research interests focus on developing novel ocular drug delivery systems, controlled and targeted site-specific chemical delivery systems, and alternatives to animal testing. He is essential in innovative work in ophthalmic and transdermal drug design and delivery. Reddy has authored and co-authored several textbooks and numerous research articles, while actively participating in professional organizations. He has been honored with teaching and research awards, including Fellow status in AAPS and APhA. He was also named Teacher of the Year at five universities, reflecting his commitment to quality education in pharmacy.
