Dr. Indriyati Atmosukarto

Biography

Indriyati Atmosukarto is an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, currently serving as the Deputy Cluster Director for the Infocomm Technology cluster. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington, where she also completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Seattle Children's Research Institute. Prior to joining SIT in 2014, Indri worked as a Research Scientist at the Illinois Advanced Research Center, focusing on projects such as semantic analysis of video. As a Senior Member of the IEEE, she leads various research initiatives and is actively engaged in the SIT Data Science and AI Lab. Her research interests encompass computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and medical imaging. Indri has received numerous accolades for her contributions to engineering education and innovation, including multiple presentation awards at international conferences. She is also actively involved in professional memberships, contributing to organizations such as the Association for Computing Machinery and IEEE Women Engineering. Indri has participated in various collaborative research projects related to autonomous driving perception, Holistic Moving Target Defence, and real-time risk assessment in urban conditions. She is an advocate for fostering an inclusive environment in engineering, inspiring new generations of engineers through her teaching and research.
