Biography

Ines Alves is a Senior Lecturer in Inclusive Education and the Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes at the School of Education, University of Glasgow. She leads the PGCert, PGDip, and MEd in Inclusive Education. Prior to her role at Glasgow, Ines served as National Project Coordinator for the EDiTE Project, an initiative focused on the European Doctorate in Teacher Education, and collaborated with the Portuguese Ministry of Education in programs aimed at disadvantaged areas. She holds a PhD in Education from The University of Manchester and has a rich background in Special Education and Language, having studied at top institutions in the UK and Portugal. Her research interests lie in Inclusive Education, Equity, Social Justice, Human Rights, Disability, and Autism Spectrum, along with comparative research in educational settings.
