Biography

Ines Bramao is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Lund University. Her primary research focuses on understanding the cognitive neural processes underlying episodic memory, which enables individuals to mentally 'travel' through time and experience specific, personally significant events. Her research employs behavioral cognitive testing combined with advanced analytical methods such as Multivariate Pattern Analysis (MVPA) on high-temporal resolution brain data acquired through Electroencephalography (EEG). This methodological approach allows for the exploration of how memory reactivation unfolds over time and its consequences on current behavior and future thinking. In addition to her research, Bramao teaches Cognitive Neuroscience at both undergraduate and master's levels and leads various psychology courses. She is an active member of the Department of Psychology's board since 2020.
