Dr. Inés Fariña

Biography

Inés Fariña is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vigo, an Erasmus placement at the University of Hildesheim, and a Master’s degree in Teaching Foreign Languages from the University of Vigo. She has extensive experience in teaching foreign languages, including Galician, Spanish, English, and French, as well as editing and proofreading academic texts in multiple languages. Currently, she focuses on teaching Galician Language courses for beginners, intermediate, and advanced speakers. Her research interests lie in education and translation, specifically focusing on intercultural communication, creativity, and innovation in teaching and learning. She is actively researching the influence of anxiety, self-perception, and motivation on foreign language learning, while also developing digital skills for creating educational materials.
