Biography

Ing-Haw Cheng is a Professor of Finance and the Maple Financial Group Chair in Derivatives and Risk Management at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He serves as the Academic Director of the Master of Financial Risk Management program and the Research Director of FinHub, the Financial Innovation Hub. His research interest focuses on capital markets, the financial system, and the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance. Prior to joining Rotman in 2021, he held positions as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Dartmouth College from 2013 to 2021, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2013. He earned a PhD in Economics and an MA in Economics from Princeton University, as well as a BS in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
