Ing Chee Wee completed a Bachelor of Science with majors in Microbiology, Immunology, and Biochemistry at the University of Adelaide in 2016. In 2017, he undertook an Honours project under the supervision of Professor Christopher Proud, where he investigated the role of MAP Kinase-Interacting Kinases in neuronal development. His passion for neuroscience led him to pursue a PhD under the guidance of Professor Lyndsey Collins Praino, focusing on the link between traumatic brain injury and Parkinson's disease. After completing his PhD, he continued his research at the Dementia Research Centre, working on the development of effective treatments for epilepsy. His research interests include Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Epilepsy, Motor Neuron Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, alpha-synuclein, Tau spreading, long-term neuroinflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases.
