Biography

Ingrid Sketris is a researcher and professor at the College of Pharmacy, Dalhousie University. Her research interests focus on Pharmaceutical Policy, Drug Safety, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacoepidemiology, Knowledge Translation, Research Impact Assessment, and the evaluation of factors affecting medication management systems. Sketris has a BSc(Pharm) from the University of Toronto, a PharmD from the University of Minnesota, and an MPA in Health Services Administration from Dalhousie University. Additionally, she completed a Clinical Toxicology Residency at the University of Tennessee. She has received several awards, including the 30th Anniversary Medal from the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health and a Fellowship from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology in 2019. In recognition of her research excellence, she was named a Research Professor at Dalhousie University in 2016. Sketris has authored numerous publications that contribute significantly to the fields of pharmacology and pharmacy practice, positively influencing clinical practices and policies.
