Biography

Ioana joined the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow in September 2006. She holds a PhD from Indiana University Bloomington, completed in 2006, and a Master’s degree from the same institution obtained in 2001. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania, in 1999. Her work primarily focuses on macroeconomic themes, including fiscal and monetary policy. As a member of the Macroeconomics Cluster research group, she collaborates with other researchers to advance the understanding of these vital economic areas. Ioana is committed to teaching and has taught various courses at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels, including International Macroeconomics and Advanced Macro Topics as well as Economics Level 1 Macroeconomic Analysis and International Finance. Her dedication to education reflects her deep understanding of economics and her ability to convey complex concepts to students.
