Biography

Ioanna Papatsouma is a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). She currently leads the Mathematics Curriculum Mapping Tool project, which is funded by the College's Pedagogy Transformation Fund. Her research interests broadly lie in clustering, specifically in developing methodologies for clustering mixed-type data, as well as constrained and robust clustering. Moreover, Ioanna chairs the Teaching Statistics Section of the Royal Statistical Society and is a member of the RSS EDI Advisory Group and the IMA Higher Education Committee. She is dedicated to enhancing the teaching and understanding of statistics in academia, contributing significantly to curriculum development and pedagogical transformation in her field.
