Biography

Ioannis Panagiotou is a UK-based artist and composer whose work explores cross-media narratives focused on memory, migration, and identity. His diverse artworks manifest through audiovisual performances, installations, and concerts, creating symbiotic relationships between media, materials, and social events. Panagiotou aims to activate lost memories and the specters of sociocultural history through his art. His works have been presented internationally in countries such as Japan, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, and Greece. Panagiotou is currently a tutor in Composing Screen at the University of Edinburgh and at the Academy of Music Sound in Glasgow. He has previously held artist residencies and lectured on fine arts, multimedia, and sound design at several prominent institutions, including the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and the University of Edinburgh.
