Biography

Irène Hirt is an Associate Professor at the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Geneva since 2018. She completed her PhD in Human Geography at the University of Geneva in 2008 and was a Marie Curie Fellow (International Outgoing Fellowship) at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. In 2015, she became a researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France, working at the Passages laboratory in Bordeaux. She is currently the Director of the Master's program in Political and Cultural Geography.
