Biography

Irene Tandberg is a violinist and lecturer at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University, with a career spanning over four decades as a performer and pedagogue. She has established vibrant private and university studios, where her students have earned prestigious scholarships and positions in notable international and domestic schools and orchestras. Irene serves as the Co-Director of the Forest City School Talent Education (FCTE) and has created the Young Artists Pre-College Academy (YAPCA) to enrich the experiences of music students. She is also the Coordinator of Western 360 and an active faculty member with a commitment to performance and teaching excellence, earning recognition through the student council's “Award for Excellence” in teaching.
