Dr. Irina Mocioiu

Biography

Irina Mocioiu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Pennsylvania State University, where she also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies. Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Quebec at Montreal and a Ph.D. in Physics from the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at SUNY Stony Brook. Her research interests primarily lie in the field of particle physics and the theoretical aspects of particle astrophysics. Dr. Mocioiu has authored and co-authored several significant publications that explore various phenomena in neutrino physics and the ramifications of theoretical frameworks such as the type II see-saw mechanism in Grand Unified Theories. Her work is influential in advancing the understanding of the fundamental interactions of particles and the implications for astrophysical observations.
