Biography

Iris Firstenberg joined UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2004. She specializes in strategies for creative problem solving and innovative thinking, conducting custom on-site courses and seminars for organizations on topics of creativity and innovation. Her sessions provide exciting, thought-provoking, and practical strategies to help turn creative ideas into innovative business solutions. Firstenberg is a recipient of the 2002 UCLA Department of Psychology Faculty Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2011 UCLA Extension Distinguished Teaching Award. She earned her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in 1983, her M.A. in Cognitive Psychology in 1981, and her B.A. in Linguistics and Psychology in 1978, all from UCLA.
