Biography

Iro Laina joined the Visual Geometry Group at the University of Oxford as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) in 2020 and became a Departmental Lecturer in Computer Vision in 2023. She received a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, where her dissertation was recognized with the ECVA PhD Award. Her research focuses on developing perception systems that understand images, videos, and the 3D world, with a particular interest in unsupervised and language-supervised learning techniques.
