Biography

Irwin Lipnowski is an associate professor at the University of Manitoba, specializing in economics and applied game theory. He earned his PhD from the London School of Economics in 1976, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s with Honours in Economics from the University of Manitoba. A FIDE chess master, he has represented Canada in international competitions, including the World Youth Chess Championship and the International Chess Olympiad.
