Biography

Isaac Laseter is a Graduate Student in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research is focused on early galaxy evolution during the epoch of reionization. He is particularly interested in finding the lowest metallicity Lyman-alpha emitters at redshift z ~1, which serve as near analogues to early progenitors of galaxies. Under the guidance of his advisor, Michael Maseda, Isaac is currently engaged in a project that aims to deepen the understanding of these significant objects in the study of cosmic history.
