Biography

Isaac Stopard is a Research Associate in the Infectious Disease Dynamics group at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology from Imperial College London, obtained in 2014, and recently completed his PhD in computational epidemiology at the same institution in 2023. His research interests center on computational epidemiology, with a particular focus on how socioeconomic inequalities influence the dynamics of infectious diseases in the context of global change. Prior to joining UNSW, Isaac conducted postdoctoral research focused on malaria transmission modeling at the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London. He has also spent time working as an ecologist and has experience in environmental consultancy as well as lifeguarding in Devon. His multidisciplinary background enhances his approach to studying infectious disease dynamics.
