Dr. Isabelle Vedel

Biography

Isabelle Vedel is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at McGill University and a public health physician. She serves as the Graduate Program Director for the MSc program and is the Research Co-Director, co-founding the ROSA research team, which focuses on healthcare services related to Alzheimer's. Her post-doctoral fellowship was centered on health services research, particularly in chronic disease management at McGill University in 2012. Vedel has been recognized with the Investigator Award from the Canadian Institute of Health Research and a Dawson Scholar award for her work. Her research primarily explores the organization of health care services for older patients with multiple chronic diseases, with a strong focus on Alzheimer's-related disorders. Currently, she is dedicated to studying the implementation and evaluation of new primary care models, integrated care services, and transitional care for patients facing complex health issues. Dr. Vedel also investigates the implementation of health information technologies within the context of chronic disease management, applying her expertise in health service policy evaluation, implementation science, and mixed methods research.
