Dr. Ishtiaq Bercha

Biography

Ishtiaq Bercha is a dual board certified medical physicist specializing in Non-ionizing, X-ray, and Nuclear Medicine Physics. He holds master of science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Denver, and in Medical and Radiation Physics from the University of Birmingham, UK. He completed his residency training in Diagnostic Medical Physics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. In his current role in the Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Department at Yale New Haven Health, he provides clinical imaging physics support and participates in clinical studies, contributing to the development of performance evaluation standards for digital X-ray systems.
