Dr. Iskender Sahin

Biography

Iskender Sahin is an Industry Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, specializing in mechanical engineering, with research and teaching interests in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and marine hydrodynamics. He has a strong background in the field, having earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering, and a master's degree from the University of Michigan in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. His academic experience includes roles at Virginia Tech and Western Michigan University, as well as postdoctoral research at the Naval Coastal Systems Center. Professor Sahin has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, contributing significantly to the body of knowledge in his areas of expertise.
