Ismael Foroughi is an adjunct professor in the Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). Dr. Foroughi is currently the President of the Canadian Geophysical Union - Geodesy Section (2023–2025) and serves as the Canadian national delegate to the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) (2022–2025). He chairs the IAG Joint Working Group 2.2.1, facilitating contributions to geodetic research at an international level.
