Ismael G. Munoz is a Departmental Lecturer in Evidence Based Social Intervention Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of educational inequality, with a particular emphasis on the inequities in educational attainment and the influence of family dynamics on health outcomes across the life course. Ismael employs a wide range of methodological designs, including demographic and quasi-experimental techniques, applied both cross-nationally and in close case studies. Prior to his current position, Ismael was a post-doctoral researcher for the ERC-Echo Project at the Institute of Economy, Geography, Demography, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and is currently an international affiliated member of the Population Society Studies Group (GEPS-CSIC). He holds a PhD in Educational Theory and Policy from Pennsylvania State University, as well as a Master's Degree in International Development Economics from the Economics School of Louvain and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
