Dr. Issa Traoré

Biography

Issa Traoré is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Victoria. He has a strong academic background with credentials including Aircraft Engineer from Ecole del'Air in Salon de Provence, a Master’s degree in Aeronautics and Space Techniques, and another Master’s degree in Automatics and Computer Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace in Toulouse, followed by a PhD from Institut National Polytechnique in Toulouse. His research interests span a variety of critical areas in computer engineering including network security, biometrics technology, intrusion detection systems, and network forensics. He also focuses on software security, software quality engineering, formal methods, object-oriented software development, and secure information systems. Throughout his career, Prof. Traoré has been involved in several academic initiatives that bridge theoretical insights with practical applications in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
