Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Ivan Bermejo Moreno. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Ivan Bermejo-Moreno received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology in 2008. He subsequently held a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Center for Turbulence Research, a joint initiative of Stanford University and NASA Ames Research Center, from 2009 to 2014. In 2015, he joined the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California as an assistant professor, where he advanced to associate professor. His research focuses on the application of numerical methods and physical modeling for high-performance computing simulations and analyses of turbulent fluid flows, particularly those involving multi-physics phenomena. Ivan has received several accolades for his research contributions, including the Fulbright Fellowship, the Rolf D. Buhler Memorial Award, the William F. Ballhaus Prize, and the Hans G. Hornung Prize. His primary research areas include computational fluid mechanics, turbulent flows, fluid-structure interaction, combustion, hypersonic propulsion, and high-performance computing.
