Biography

Ivana Delalle is a Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, specializing in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She is a Neuropathologist at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Boston Medical Center, where she conducts research that bridges basic and clinical science to advance the understanding of the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Delalle earned her MD and PhD from the University of Zagreb, where she studied under Professor Ivica Kostovic, a pioneer in the understanding of transient layers in the developing human cortex. After completing a Research Fellowship in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, she obtained further training in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology, Dr. Delalle has a keen interest in neurooncology and is committed to educating medical students, residents, and neuropathology fellows. She served as Director of the Neuropathology Service at Rhode Island Hospital from 2019 to 2023 and held a professorship at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University from 2020 to 2023.
