Han Hoogeveen is an Associate Professor at Utrecht University, specializing in Algorithms, Simulation, and Complex Systems. Notable projects include optimizing gate assignments at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and planning bus schedules for Qbuzz, a significant public transport provider in the Netherlands. His ongoing research initiatives also include partnerships with Dutch Railways (NS) and KLM to enhance service planning and schedule optimization for personnel, considering human factors. With a commitment to applied research, Hoogeveen seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical applications in real-life contexts.
