Biography

Vincent Kuitenbrouwer is a Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in nineteenth and twentieth-century imperial history, with a particular focus on colonial media. He published his monograph "War Words: Dutch pro-Boer Propaganda in the South African War" in 2012, and from November 2020 to September 2023 coordinated the 'Media War' project at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. Clayton on topics surrounding international radio broadcasting and the decolonization of Dutch Indonesia.
