Dr. J T Voordijk

Biography

Hans Voordijk holds a Master in Economics and a Master in Philosophy from Erasmus University Rotterdam, along with a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from Maastricht University. He serves as the Director of the Engineering Doctorate (EngD) Program in Civil Engineering at the University of Twente, while also acting as a project manager at the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). His academic journey began as a Research Assistant at the Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (MERIT) at Maastricht University and has included roles such as Assistant Professor at Tilburg University and lecturer at Asmara University in Eritrea. Voordijk is also an Honorary Associate Professor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), where he is associated with the School of Property, Construction & Project Management. His research focuses on the interconnections between social sciences, project construction approaches, and the integration of digitalization and circularity within construction supply chains, often explored through case studies. He holds a position on the Board of Supervisory Directors at Ubbink B.V. and has a well-established record of contributions to both academia and industry.
