Biography

Jacinthe Pépin holds a PhD from the University of Rochester, NY, and has developed expertise in philosophical and disciplinary questions in nursing science. She has co-authored the book 'La pensée infirmière' (3rd edition, 2010) and published scientific articles on caring and family caregiver support. Pépin served as Vice-Dean for Studies from 2001 to 2003 and as Vice-Dean for Undergraduate Studies from 2003 to 2007, where she was responsible for thorough revisions of the master's and bachelor's programs in nursing science. She is the recipient of the Pat Griffin Research Chair in Nursing Education from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing in 2015. Her current research focuses on innovation in nursing education and the implications of health system transformations on nursing practice, particularly in response to systemic racism.
