Biography

Jacinthe Rouleau is an ophthalmologist and surgeon at CHUM. In addition to holding a position as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Montreal, she also serves as the head of the neuro-ophthalmology division. After obtaining her medical doctorate from Laval University, Dr. Rouleau completed her ophthalmology training at the University of Montreal. She further pursued specialized training for an additional year in neuro-ophthalmology in the United States at the renowned Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science of Iowa. Since 2007, she has been a passionate and experienced cataract surgeon. Her neuro-ophthalmology clinics primarily operate at CHUM, where she is actively involved in training externs and residents. She also contributes significantly to continuing education, regularly invited as a speaker at various national and international conferences, not only to her ophthalmologist colleagues but also for other healthcare professionals such as optometrists, family physicians, and specialist doctors. Dr. Rouleau's research expertise includes neuro-ophthalmology, general ophthalmology, cataract, and glaucoma.
