Biography

Jack Bierig has extensive experience in general representation of various associations, including antitrust counseling, health care regulatory issues, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters, as well as FDA regulation. He has represented numerous clients during government antitrust health fraud investigations, in actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, and in private antitrust litigation, copyright, trademark, and trade secret cases. He is recognized as one of the nation’s leading professionals and provides counsel to numerous professional associations, including the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, and American Osteopathic Association, among others. Jack advises various medical and dental certifying boards, including the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Additionally, he has taught Health Law and Food and Drug Law Policy at the University of Chicago since 1999 and has taught federal regulation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in the Master of Science in Law program at Northwestern University. Jack is also a frequent speaker on antitrust, food and drug law, association law, and health care regulatory issues at both industry and university conferences, and he has written numerous articles on these topics.
