Biography

I am a Professor of Marketing at the University of New South Wales, having joined as a Lecturer in 1996. I served as the Head of the School of Marketing from 2016 to 2021 and have previously held roles as Deputy Head of the School, Postgraduate Research Coordinator, and Director of the Master of Marketing program. My research focuses on the theme of flexibly and entrepreneurially managing the matching of supply and demand for products and services at institutional, inter-organizational, and retail levels in changing and diverse product market environments. Specific areas of interest include structural flexibility in distribution supply chain networks, retail assortments, business-to-business buyer-supplier relationships, product/service innovation, and market transformation. I am also interested in societal benefits and market matching mechanisms related to public policy. I have editorial roles as Associate Editor for the Australian Journal of Management and as a member of the Editorial Policy Board for the Journal of Macromarketing and the Editorial Review Board for the Australasian Marketing Journal. My teaching interests encompass marketing strategy, distribution channels, retailing, marketing theory, and new product/service development.
