Dr. Jack Italiano

Biography

Jack Italiano is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Health and a specialist in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. He has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions affecting both adults and children. Dr. Italiano emphasizes the importance of building strong doctor-patient relationships, actively collaborating with patients to make informed decisions that address their unique life circumstances and goals. With extensive training in ultrasound diagnostic and therapeutic aids, he ensures accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. His expertise includes ultrasound-guided interventions and orthobiologic therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma injections, designed to promote healing in injured areas. Over the years, he has served as a team physician and provided event coverage for multiple levels of sports, with a strong interest in combat sports such as boxing and mixed martial arts. Dr. Italiano completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Florida, where he earned a resident scholar award, followed by a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of Connecticut. He is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the Association of Ringside Physicians.
