Biography

Jack Kulchitsky received a Bachelor of Commerce (Management Science) in 1986 and a PhD in Marketing with minors in Economics and Statistics in 1997 from the University of Alberta. He has over 15 years of experience in mid and senior-level positions in operations management, new business development, and marketing research. His career includes consulting for government and industry, conducting marketing research for sectors such as agribusiness, telecommunications, and education. Before joining the Haskayne School of Business in 2001, he was a senior lecturer and chair of the International MBA program in the Philippines at Murdoch University, Perth, Australia. Kulchitsky has taught various subjects including Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Research at undergraduate and MBA levels. His international teaching experience includes locations such as Perth, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Manila, and Iran. His research interests focus on buyer/supplier relationships and supply chain management, with a current emphasis on examining the effects of emerging technologies on the structure and performance of business-to-business relationships. Jack has presented his research at annual conferences of the American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science, Australia New Zealand Marketing Academy, Council of Logistics Management, and the Institute of Operations Research and Management Science. He has published his research in various journals including Marketing Letters, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Industrial Marketing Management, and the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.
