Biography

Jack Mountjoy is an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research focuses on economics, econometrics, education, labor markets, and social mobility. Before joining Chicago Booth, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Economics at Princeton University in the Industrial Relations Section, and worked as an Economic Research Analyst at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission during graduate school. Mountjoy earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where his dissertation work was recognized with a fellowship from the National Academy of Education and the Spencer Foundation. He also holds a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Mathematics from George Washington University and a B.A. in Economics and Politics, graduating with honors (summa cum laude) from Whitman College.
