Dr. Jackie Wegner

Biography

Jackie Wegner is an Assistant Professor at the USC Marshall School of Business, specializing in Accounting. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as a Master's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Tulane University. Her research primarily focuses on the production and use of information in capital markets, with an emphasis on the implications of emerging technologies for financial regulators. Jackie teaches the course BUAD 280 - Introduction to Financial Accounting, where she emphasizes understanding financial statements and the impact of business transactions on the information presented to management and interested stakeholders. Prior to her academic career, Jackie worked as an auditor at Ernst Young LLP in Tampa, Florida, where she primarily served financial service organizations. She continues to maintain her status as an active Certified Public Accountant in Florida.
